The “Forbidden (1)” message is created when the hardwareid doesn’t match a real HS, the check is the same since 4.0.
You cannot update the HS from USB/network as this will install a version that is not patched and so the check fails.
Currently there is no working 4.12 version that is based on the original image from Gira.
