@kubuntu what machine template are you using? Could you try a Q35 template? This should have SATA options. I run Unraid which uses KVM as well, and it works like a charm.

now im using a KVM Virtualization und all is perfect. but with ovirt (my new virtualization) i can’t change to SATA. only SCSI, IDE or virtIO.
Its cracy, than the ovirt us in the background kvm.

Eine Frage nur:
Es gibt auch beim HS immer wieder Probleme mit “Nicht vertrauenswürdigen Zertifikaten”
Auch das vom Gira-HS erzeugte, wird nicht als vertrauenswürdig angesehen.
Da kann ich zwar eine Ausnahme hinzufügen und die VISU läuft; Es gibt aber externe Seiten, die nicht geladen werden, da nicht “vertrauenswürdig”.
Da habe ich auch bei den neuesten Browsern keine Möglichkeit gefunden, eine Ausnahme hinzuzufügen.
Meine Idee ist, ein eigenes Zertifikat zu nutzen. Das hat bei meiner Nextcloud auch funktioniert und ist sogar kostenlos! Gira bietet ja die Möglichkeit über https://HS-IP/hscert ein eigenes einzuspielen
Leider fehlt mir das knowhow, per ssh, certbot, letsencrypt etc. auf der HS-VM ein Zertifikat zu erzeugen, welches ich dann für den HS nutzen könnte.
Hat das schon jemand gemacht? Oder sieht sich in der Lage, das auszuprobieren und hier zu posten?

Auf dem HS selber wird das wohl nicht klappen, da die nötigen Tools fehlen.
Wenn Du ein gekauftes Zertifikat hast, kannst Du das auf dem HS installieren. Für Let’s Encrypt wirst Du etwas tricksen müssen, da die automatische Verifizierung ja nicht klappt.

Schade, das mit den fehlenden Tools hatte ich befürchtet.
Gibt es denn vielleicht Möglichkeiten, Tools nachzuinstallieren. Geht bei anderen Linuxen doch auch?
Das gekaufte ginge recht einfach über die https://HS-IP/hscert – galube ich jedenfalls. Meinst Du das?

Was meinst Du mit Letsencrypt und tricksen? Zertifikat von anderem Rechner nehmen und ständig händisch nachinstallieren? Das wäre sicher nicht erstrebenswert.

Der HS läuft eben nicht auf einem “richtigen” Linux, sondern nur mit dem abgespeckten Busybox, da kann man nicht viel erweitern.

Gekaufte Zertifikate muss man ja nicht verifizieren, da bekommst Du einfach die Files und lädst die auf den HS hoch.

Ja, Du brauchst ja irgendwas, was Du das Zertifikat bei Let’s Encrypt bestätigt und das geht normalerweise ja nur mit System, wo auch der Webserver läuft. Du kannst ja einen interne Zertifizierungsstelle aufsetzen und Dir damit selber Zertifikate ausstellen, das setzt aber wieder einen Windows Server im Netz voraus.

Von einem frühen Projekt an hatte ich noch ein unbenutztes Busсh Jaeger 8198/11 Logikmodul. Ich bitte Sie um Rat: Ist es in einem System mit HomeServer 4.10 sinnvoll, oder kann es nur verkauft und die gesamte Logik auf Basis von HS4 implementiert werden? Vielen Dank im Voraus für Ihre Antworten.

muss ich die vmdk aus dem dl noch irgendwie bearbeiten? im 1.post steht etwas von anderem format

Experte 4.10.1 has been released.
I won’t update the image though, as there is just one single bugfix in the update.

But you can update the Experte and QuadClient, as this has some more bugfixes. It will work with the existing 4.10 image.

Anyone here who wants to write a rather detailed HOW-TO?

I have downloaded the vmware image from the first post. I then installed VMware workstation 15 pro on my desktop pc. In the first post, it was said to make a new VM with 2 CPU’s, 1BG ram and to add the virtual harddisk as SATA, which I did.

But I want to have this running on my esxi server, so I than upload this VM trough the workstation app to my esxi host, and when I than try to boot this VM I get a bunch of errors that keep on going

I have been testing more, and now I have the 4.10 image running (stable for now at least) The errors in the above screenshot, were explained in another topic on this forum (they go away after uploading a first project onto the hs)

Connection to the gira smartphone app works, gira quadclient software works.

Only step I now have to take, is to disconnect the USB to knx dongle, and connect it to the esxi box and have this data passtrough to the hs wm image. If this works, I’m ready to go all out on a new (refurbished) dell server and then I can dump the previous 10yo consumer grade hardware.

Maybe I’ll make a freenas out of that, don’t know yet, I had all of the servers virtualised on 1 server…

Hoping all remains stable and that the usb knx connection also works, then I’m very happy

Hello,
I Have successfully installed HS4.10 on a VM machine.
The connection to my knx hardware works fine with the USB interface.
But I would like to use my 2167 00 Gira IP Router in-staid.

For some reason there is no communication between the router and the HS.
With my computer I can connect the router and sent telegrams to the bus. In the settings all telegrams are routed in both directions.
The QC on my HS works fine, so the network connection works.
I have chosen all types of connection in my project settings (ip routing with and without KNX secure support,…)
The IP router has the latest firmware and so is “secured” in my KNX project, could that be the reason it won’t work?
On the project settings page when you chose ip routing secured there is a notification you have to upload the keyring file.
Where can I find that?

Does anybody have an idea why it won’t work?
